As the Founder and CEO of The Good Dog, my mission is to provide humans with the tools and guidance they need to build a happy, healthy, and peaceful life for themselves and their furry family members. With a passion for animals, it is no surprise that I find myself here, working with dogs and their owners.
At The Good Dog, I believe in using the natural environment to teach dogs how to be their best selves. Through positive reinforcement, correction and consistency, I help dogs understand what is expected of them and how to navigate the challenges they may face. I work closely with pet parents to assess the unique needs of each dog and provide them with personalized homework to ensure that both the pet parent and I are working together from start to finish.
My ultimate goal is to empower owners to become confident leaders for their dogs. I want them to feel equipped with the necessary knowledge to guide their furry friends to become The Good Dog we all know and love. By the end of their training journey, I aim to see owners using the techniques I have provided, enabling them to continue their dog's development and success after leaving my program.
But it's not all work and no play at The Good Dog Adventures. My love for dogs has motivated me to form a fun-loving pack of my own. I believe that play dates are not just about having a good time, but also about symbolizing the highest level of obedience and respect. During these play dates, dogs are given the opportunity to socialize, have fun, and receive all the love and attention they deserve.
Whether during training sessions or play dates, I ensure that your fluffy family member is loved and guided in a healthy way. My approach allows them to develop confidence and happiness, knowing that they are in a safe and supportive environment. I believe that a well-balanced and well-behaved dog is a reflection of the love, guidance and support they receive from their environment.
As the founder of The Good Dog Adventures, my passion for animals and desire to help both animals and people have merged into one. Through my training programs and Play Dates, I aim to create a stronger bond between humans and their best K-9 friends.
About a year ago, we welcomed Candy, a delightful PitBull Lab mix, into our family through Rocket Dog Rescue. Candy, a beautiful 3-year-old, had previously been at the pound before finding her way to the rescue. While we don't know much about her past, we adore her as our own.
In the initial weeks after adoption, Candy exhibited some challenging behaviors. Being a high-energy pup, she often displayed excessive excitement and anxiety, particularly during greetings. Jumping up and around, as well as being overly vocal, especially around strangers, were aspects of her behavior that we found less than ideal.
Notably, Candy was very hard to handle during walks, to the point where I found it difficult to take her out. This changed dramatically with the help of our dog trainer, Sade. She not only transformed Candy into the perfect walking buddy but also played a crucial role in helping Candy overcome her fears and anxieties, ensuring positive recall in various situations.
What sets Sade apart is her deep love for animals. It's evident that she genuinely falls in love with the fur babies she works with. Sade takes a holistic approach, guiding us as owners on our behaviors with our pets that may not be conducive to the desired outcome. She teaches not only the fur babies but also the parents, setting us up for success and long-term results with her methodology.
Sade's impact extends beyond Candy; she has also been instrumental in helping our one-year-old Frenchie, Little Guy. Despite his stubborn tendencies, Sade has guided him to become a more responsive little guy. She has not only reduced instances of Little Guy getting over-excited and triggering Candy on walks but has also successfully trained them to walk together nicely on a leash. Additionally, Sade has taken them through off-leash training, although I, as an owner, am not quite ready for that step without her present.
Sade is way more than just a trainer; she's a coach, a guide, a teacher, and overall a light and an angel in our lives. Her presence has become an invaluable part of our journey with our fur babies.
My best advice to anyone who may be reading this is to book her now while you can; you won't regret it. Sade's expertise and love for what she does make her an exceptional partner in nurturing the best in your pets.
We are grateful for Sade's dedication and highly recommend her services to anyone seeking a skilled and compassionate dog trainer. Thanks to her, both Candy and Little Guy have become even more cherished members of our family.
